Centrally located within the Indonesian archipelago, Komodo National Park comprises three main islands—Rinca, Komodo, and Padar—and several smaller volcanic islands. These islands are home to prehistoric inhabitants not found anywhere else globally, mostly residing on Komodo and Rinca islands. They are the Komodo Lizards (Varanus Komodoensis), commonly referred to as ‘Komodo Dragons.’
